The National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) conducted the first of the Seminar-Workshops on the National Inventory of Records and Archives last June 20, 2012 at the Pearl Manila Hotel in Ermita, Manila. It was attended by participants of the National and Local Governments in NCR.

This was followed by Seminar-Workshops for attached agencies of the national government, constitutional offices and GFIs; CAR, Regions I, VII and XI national and local agencies.

There were also participants from seventeen Local Government Units of the National Capital Region.  During the seminars the participants learned about Republic Act No. 9470, the importance of a National Inventory of Records and Archives, guidelines and action plans to be taken in conducting a physical inventory of records. At the end of the seminars, the participants were given a set of CDs containing the national inventory program, different NAP forms and the presentation by the speakers.

They were also given a blank CD where the participants would save their report on the Inventory of Records of their office. This report should bear the endorsement of the head of the agency and later be submitted within three months after the date of the seminar to the National Archives of the Philippines for assessment and evaluation.
