The Belen and the Ilocos Landscape Exhibit features examples of the nativity scene from Mexico and the Philippines. It shows how the local landscape and the people shaped the design and figures of the belen or the “crèche” in both countries. The exhibit also features hundreds of other belens from the collection of Congressman Deogracias Victor B. Savellano of the First Congressional District of Ilocos Sur.
It is currently being shown at the 2nd floor of the Balay Mestizo Museum located at the corner of Calle Crisologo and Calle Salcedo in the historic City of Vigan. It was opened to the public on 20 December 2019. The Museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday at 4:00 pm in the afternoon until 8:00 pm in the evening.
