Services Offered by the Archives Collection and Access Division (ACAD)
• Renders advice and technical assistance to different government and
private entities on the establishment of archives and records office
unit (RA Art. III, Sec.13 of RA 9470)
• Operates a Reference Library/Reading Room
• Answers inquiries on availability or non availability of records in
custody to the requesting party
• Issues copies of records upon request
• Issues certified true copies and certifications of non availability of
Spanish, civil, notarial and other records upon request
• Conducts guided tours for visitors/guests
• Renders resource speaking services on Archives Administration/
Establishment of Archives
How to request
• The requesting party or their representative will fill up the form that
corresponds to their request
• Request by mail, e-mail or fax is accepted and acknowledged.
• A claim slip will be given which will be presented when claiming the request.
• Administrative fee/s will be paid upon release of copy/ies of certification of
record/s.
Reference Library/Reading Room Requirements
• Two (2) letters of Reference (from professors, organizations or any
authorized personnel of the agency), Travel Order for LGUs and
Government Employees
• Valid ID (submission of copy) and ID picture to be attached
to the Researchers Profile
• Presentation of Passport for foreign National (submission of copy)
• Cotton mask and gloves
• Pen, ball pen, notebook, and bag not allowed
• Papers and pencils are supplied at the Reference Library
• Reference Library hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am-12:00 noon and
1:00-4:30 pm
