The Archives Preservation Division of the National Archives of the Philippines will be conducting a seminar-workshop on Records Recovery and Disaster Preparedness (RRDP) on December 4-5, 2017 at Sabin Resort Hotel, Brgy. Bantigue, Ormoc City.

The two-day seminar-workshop aims to increase the level of awareness of records managers, custodians and other personnel involved in record keeping about the occurrence of emergencies and disasters that will put their staff and collections in danger. It will also assist public offices on how to undertake preventive, preparedness, response and recovery activities to prevent or minimize the risk or impact of disaster on records and record keeping system.

Target participants will be records officers and custodians of the national government offices including state colleges/universities and local government units in Ormoc City. Participation is limited to 50 slots only on a first-come, first-served basis. Invitations have already been sent to various government agencies in Ormoc City and other nearby places.
