Republic Act 9470 mandates the National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) to conduct training programs on all aspects of records and archives management and to establish and implement government-wide programs on disaster planning.

The NAP will be holding a seminar-workshop on Records and Archives Management and Records Recovery and Disaster Preparedness in De Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City on October 23-26, 2018 in partnership with the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and Autonomous Regions of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) to ensure that the records kept by the said region will be well maintained, preserved, salvaged and restored after the occurrence of a disaster.

Regional and provincial offices of devolved agencies of ARMM, schools and state colleges and ARMM LGUs within the region shall be the participants. It is expected that the seminar-workshop will produce records personnel who will be knowledgeable in archives and records management, records recovery and disaster preparedness.
