The National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) conducted the sixth session of Electronic Records Management Policy (ERMP) seminars on October 12, 2021. This session was principally geared towards the Mindanao region. This ERMP roll-out series is being carried out in partnership with the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) as part of their Freedom of Information (FOI) campaign. The newly crafted ERMP actually plays a vital role during the pandemic. The use of electronic records help lessen physical contact. The policy provides guidelines for the government sector in the shift from traditional paper records management to an electronic regime. The sixth ERMP seminar which was implemented via video conferencing was attended by 51 participants in the morning session (Northern Mindanao) while the afternoon session (Eastern and Southern Mindanao) was attended by 31 participants. Participants in the ERMP rollout were representatives from national government agencies, regional branches, and local government units. The NAP previously conducted ERMP introductory sessions in Luzon and Visayas regions.
