The National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) concluded the seminar, Retooling of NAP Resource Persons last May 31, 2021. Fifty-eight (58) NAP officials and employees studied modules on Online Facilitation and Courseware Development to prepare them for taking on training roles given the present situation.

The training was conducted in view of the pandemic where mass gatherings such as training and seminars are strongly discouraged. Trainers need retooling to improve their skills on online training.

Likewise, since switching from traditional face-to-face training to a live session webinar will be difficult for participants with no high-speed internet access, the Learning Management System (LMS) was introduced. The LMS gives participants unlimited access to learning materials that can be accessed in a manner which is most suited for trainees.

The training was conducted for six (6) weeks which commenced last March 29, 2021 using Learning Management System as facilitated by the Thames International Business School.

The course consisted of a series of synchronous and asynchronous learning sessions covering the following modules:

Program I – Online Facilitation

Module I: Changing Mindset

Module II: Basic Online Facilitation Skills

Module III: Course Planning and Design

Module IV: Application and Assessment

Program II – Courseware Development

Module I: Online Course Development

Module II: Expanding the Online Delivery Plan

Module III: Creating Digital Resource Materials

Module IV: Course Project: Creation of full online course in a learning management system
