In conjunction with the Museum and Galleries Month Celebration, the National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in cooperation with the National Committee on Museums (NCOM), recently conduct the Archives and the Creative Industries Workshop (ACIW) with the theme: “Designing Exhibits Using Archival Materials,” via Zoom, October 29-30, 2020.

The Representative of the 4th District of Pangasinan, and Chairperson of the Special Committee on Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Hon. Christopher De Venecia graced the online workshop with his inspiring message. Meanwhile, resource persons NAP Executive Director Victorino Mapa Manalo, Senior Archivist Remmel G. Talabis and Records Management Analyst II Von E. Abella shared their knowledge and expertise on the said event.

A total of 142 attendees for the ACIW Online Training are representatives from the National Committee on Museums (NCOM); sister cultural agencies National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), National Museum of the Philippines (NMP), Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), Design Center of the Philippines (DCP), National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), National Library of the Philippines (NLP); Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) and National Committee on Archives (NCA); representatives from national government agencies including the Malacañang Records, Office of the President, Senate of the Philippines; personnel from Local Government Units and Offices; Public and Private Institutions; archivists; and academic professionals. Some officials and employees of the National Archives of the Philippines also participated in the event.
