The National Commission for Culture and the Arts conducts a rapid assessment that will serve as a baseline of the Culture and Arts sector in crafting a Cultural Response and Resiliency Plan (CRRP). The said sectoral plan will have both a contingency (immediate response, recovery, and preparedness) and developmental nature (medium to long-term reconstruction and transformation).

The National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) participated in the conduct of the Focused Group Discussions (FGD) last July 30, 2020, via the zoom application. The FGD aims to gather information from sectoral and geographic stakeholders on the effects of COVID-19 on culture and arts and recommended policies and programs that will be included in the CRRP.

The NCCA together with the NAP and other cultural agencies continues to believe in the importance of culture, heritage, and arts in the nation’s sustainable development even amid a global health crisis and shall fulfill its mandate and purpose to better serve the Filipino people.
