The National Archives of the Philippines is pleased to announce that it has refurbished its temporary Reading Room. The new Reading Room is equipped with six-foot fiber glass barriers and individual booths for public safety. There are also additional computer terminals for research use.

The NAP temporary Reading Room has moved to a new location. It is now at 1765 Paz Mendoza Guazon Street, Paco, Manila.

Please be advised that health and safety protocols such as social distancing, disinfecting, as well as the wearing of masks and face shields shall be strictly implemented. Room use limitations will be strictly imposed following the government-mandated quarantine protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The NAP would also like to remind its visitors of the following:

  • All requested records will be made available in digitized format and can be accessed at the desktop computer provided in the reading room.
  • For conservation purposes, all original documents will not be served.
  • If the record requested has not been digitized, it will be digitized for serving. Digitization time will be about one week.

Please check the most recent announcement to ascertain if the Reading Room is open. Researcher may need appointments. The Reading Room may be closed due to health regulations.
