This time of pandemic, the Southeast Asian Regional Branch of International Council on Archives (SARBICA) initiated the constitution of ASEAN Pandemic Response s Archives (APARA). This initiative aims to acquire materials that happened and occurred in ASEAN countries regarding Covid-19. This precious collection will enrich the nation’s heritage for research purposes.

The current Chairperson of SARBICA, Mr. Victorino Mapa Manalo, also the Executive Director of the National Archives of the Philippines, delivered his message to SARBICA together with other ASEAN Archives leaders to signify solidarity work for better ASEAN. Social Media has been a keyway that people have communicated and coped during the pandemic, numerous efforts has been done to create awareness and to accumulate records on this pandemic.
