The National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) conducted the virtual Seminar-Workshop on Basic Records and Archives Management (BRAM) on December 9-10, 2021 for Aurora Province. This is part of NAP’s commitment to ensure that government agencies and private institutions in strategically challenged areas are familiar with the basic knowledge of Records and Archives Management. The seminar-workshop also aimed to promote transparency, accountability, and protection of privacy in managing records.

This two-day webinar covered the provisions of Republic Act 9470 otherwise known as the National Archives of the Philippines Act of 2007, and the different concepts of archives administration and records management. 

Aurora Governor Gerardo A. Noveras, recognized the importance of the seminar-workshop, and emphasized the important role of records in any institution. Noveras underscored that records are vital in any institution, especially in government agencies because it helps with the decision-making process of leaders in the country. 

The virtual Seminar-Workshop on BRAM was attended by 89 participants from national government agencies, regional offices, state universities, colleges, hospitals, and private institutions.
