NAP celebrates the 161st Birth Anniversary of Jose Rizal: Rizal and Public Service
In celebration of Dr. Jose Rizal’s 161st birth anniversary, the National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) invited Dr. Rene R. Escalante, Chairman of National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) to give a lecture on the life and works of Rizal and how his heroism served as an inspiration for civil servants.
In line with this, the NAP also held a poster-making contest with the theme “Rizal and Public service,” to serve as a call for government employees to emulate the sacrifices of Rizal, and to embody his ideals and selflessness when serving the people.
