The National Archives of the Philippines joined the celebration of International Friendship Day held annually every 30th of July.
Through an online assembly on July 26, NAP’s Deputy Executive Director Ms. Marietta R. Chou highlighted the importance of friendship in any individual’s life, especially in the workplace. She said that work friends can make the job and responsibilities easier to accomplish and a friendly working environment will translate to job satisfaction. She also added that through friendship a person finds a sense of belonging and happiness.
The International Day of Friendship was declared by the United Nations in 2011 to promote peace efforts and build bridges between countries and communities through friendship between people.
