On May 18, 2021, the National Archives of the Philippines together with the Museo Sugbo and the Provincial Government of Cebu launched the Exhibit BANWA UG NASOD: Urbanity and Discontents. In connection with the Quincentennial Commemoration of the first circumnavigation of the world, the said launching was covered by Sugbo News TV. It was also streamed on the official webpage of the National Archives of the Philippines.

Ma. Cecilia B. Cabanes, the President of the Museum Community and one of the Curator of the Museo Sugbo, welcomed the participants of the said event.Director of the University of San Carlos Museum and Cebu Provincial Consultant of Museum and Heritage Affairs, Dr. Jobers Eleazar R. Bersales also spoke.

The Kulturang Sugboanon Productions performed their wonderful presentation, BAGANI, the official theme song of the Quincentennial Commemorations. After this, the Director of the National Archives of the Philippines, Victorino M. Manalo expressed his gratitude to all the guests. About a 100 people attended the event.

To officially open the Exhibit, Dr. Bersales, Ms. Cabanes, and Ms. Annelyn C. Lao, OIC, RAN-Cebu cut the ribbon after which everyone was invited to view the show. On display was a scale model of the Argao plaza as it appeared in the 19th century.

The exhibit was made possible through the National Archives of the Philippines Exhibit Team composed of Remmel G. Talabis, Von Abella, Arman Masangkay (Manila Exhibit Team) and Annelyn C. Lao, Kit P. Toling, Jhonley Joseph L. Item and Maricris B. Batucan (Cebu Exhibit Team).
