The Heritage Conservation Center (HCC) of Singapore organized an international conference entitled: the “Collection Care:  Staying Relevant in Changing Times, ASEAN and Beyond”. This was held at the National Museum of Singapore last October 23-25, 2019.   

The conference showcased care practices of Southeast Asia collections in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).  It featured 25 contributions from the local and international experts. 

The conference brought together collection care professionals from the ASEAN region and other parts of the world.  The conference encouraged a dynamic exhange of expertise through shared experiences and facilitated interaction among participants. This engendered discussions regarding protection, preservation, new knowledge and skills on collection management.

Ms. Virginia S. Raymundo, Senior Archivist of the Archives Preservation was invited to showcase the collection practices of the National Archives of the Philippines through a presentation entitled:” Preservation and Survey Strategies of Paper Based Records at the National Archives of the Philippines”.
