On June 24, 2020, The National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) facilitated the online conduct of the Briefing on Covid-19 with Public Health Expert Dr. Susan Pineda-Mercado as Resource Person. The objectives of the activity are to raise awareness and a better understanding of the nature of the Covid-19 virus and to know how to avoid getting infected. Specifically, Dr. Pineda discussed the following concerns: 

  • How the virus spreads across species
  • How to protect ourselves from the virus
  • What to do when a person is asymptomatic; and
  • Things to be considered while working in the office during these times

NAP Executive Director Victorino Mapa Manalo gave a short opening message and introduced Dr. Pineda-Mercado to the group. Participants of the online briefing include Deputy Executive Director Marietta R. Chou, NAP Consultants Dr. Teresita R. Ignacio, Ms. Virginia E. Darlucio, and Arch. Marita G. Habalo, Division Heads and representatives from the Office of the Executive Director, and NAP Safety Committee.
